Love the idea of the "Roger Penrose habit" - it's pretty hit or miss overall, but one of my webcomics, Cectic, hit this point pretty well: [1]
Maybe my mind's too feeble to follow the modern philosophical debate — or maybe there's less there than meets the eye.
You may well have something there - one of the arguments I came up with taking the free will class that assigned Kane's book is that our ordinary intuitions shouldn't be trusted in most of these extraordinary situations, any more than they should be when studying quantum dynamics.
